We've had a busy summer with an office renovation/new secure entrance work due to the Reimagine Education initiative! Thanks to our amazing community support, we were able to redo our entry to include a more secure entryway close to our visitor parking. Moving forward, we will no longer be using our Dean Avenue entrance (the only exception will be to allow bus students in and out of the building at the beginning/end of the day). Students, staff and families will now use the west gym door entrance off E. 29th Court to enter/exit the building. We look forward to showing you this new entry/office area when you come in to drop students off on Monday, August 24. See you then!

The first day of the 2026-2027 school year is right around the corner! Students will return on Monday, August 24. School hours are 7:40 to 2:35. Due to the late start of the fair (and the traffic that goes along with the fair), we are not having a "Meet the Teacher Night" before the first day. Parents are welcome to drop their children and school supplies off, take photos and meet the teacher from 7:15 to 8:15 am on Monday, August 24. Please enter through our new main entry (west gym door off E 29th Court). (Please do not park in our parent pick-up lane during this event so we can keep our drop off line moving. Our day will begin promptly at 8:15 so we'll ask that parents leave by that time. Please call our school office at 515-242-8439 if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone very soon!

Join us for the Northeast Region Boundary Public Input Night to learn more about proposed attendance boundaries, Signature School enrollment opportunities, transition timelines, and plans designed to support students and families.

Your feedback will help inform the final recommendation presented to the School Board.

Willard is looking for a building substitute teacher for this coming school year. The pay is $180/day and you may qualify for an additional $100 incentive for every 45 days that you work in a semester. Requirements: valid Iowa teaching license or a substitute authorization (we can help you secure this). The expectation for this position is that you work a minimum of four days/week.
