Our sensory swing is our newest addition to our play space. We are on it non-stop and loving it. The sensory swing is giving kids a place for self regulation when they need it. Learning how to handle big feelings is an important part of our day.

We found the best way to cool off on a hot summer day. Home made pudding pops! We wore almost as much as we ate. 🤣

Creativity is always a big part of our day! We added in some art supplies along with big imagination and these three characters came to life. The idea for these masks and how to create them was a pure kid creation!

We love spending as much time as possible outside. Thursday was a perfect picnic day so we took our lunch out to the backyard. The kids were really excited. They each helped make their own sandwiches. Then filled their plates with carrots, watermelon, and chips. Our littlest eater even joined into the fun adding a little grass to his meal for garnish! We ended our picnic with a surprise treat. We had to ask questions to guess what it was. Chocolate chip cookies were a great end to a fun picnic! We can't wait to have another one!

We have been so excited to celebrate the Fourth of July. Yesterday we painted our own special star cookies for our party today. The most asked question all day was "can we eat our cookies yet?" This afternoon we finally got our chance. After some yummy treats we turned our play space into a sugar fueled dance party. We got the patriotic music going, turned on some fun lights, and added in some tablet fireworks. It was a fun way to end our week!

When we went for our walk on Friday we discovered animal tracks. We talked about what animals made them. There were lots of creative guesses. We talked about which way the animals traveled and compared tracks made on wet and dry ground. We love these teachable moments that happen all throughout our day.
