To our 8th Grade Eagles,
As you leave middle school behind and begin a new chapter in high school, remember that you are capable of more than you know. The next four years will bring new opportunities, new challenges, and new experiences that will help shape who you become. Your McCombs' teachers have these words to guide your next steps:
🦅Work hard, even when things are difficult.
🦅Be kind- the way you treat people will always matter more than any grade, award, or accomplishment.
🦅Choose to do good things- even when no one is watching.
🦅Believe in yourself- dream big!
🦅Dream big, stay curious, and never stop growing.
Best wishes for a bright and successful future!

McCombs Students and Families,
Yearbook distribution is happening tomorrow, and there is still a small number of yearbooks available for purchase!
Tomorrow's distribution will take place during our grade-level Yearbook Signing Parties, where students will have the chance to collect signatures, write messages, and share memories with friends and staff. This is one of the highlights of the end of the school year, and all students get to participate in the signing party. The yearbook captures the faces, friendships, accomplishments, and moments that defined this school year, making it one of the best ways to look back on the memories created at McCombs.
Don't wait—once the remaining copies are sold, there will not be another order. Supplies are extremely limited and yearbooks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Yearbooks are just $20 and can be purchased:
With cash or check from Mrs. Hyslope
With a debit or credit card through Mrs. Rodriguez in the main office
Secure your copy today before they're gone! Don't miss your chance to take home a collection of memories, photos, and moments from the 2025-2026 school year.

We are pleased to share the latest McCombs iJag newsletter showcasing the work and accomplishments of this student group. iJag is always looking to build in engagement opportunities for students with local employers. The career field area is less important as the goal is to expose students to a wide variety of careers and experiences. We are also always looking for volunteer opportunities or connections that would benefit kids in experiencing real-world learning and connection to the community. We greatly appreciate all volunteers and speakers that have been a part of our school year :)
If you have someone in mind who would enjoy speaking to a class, please contact [email protected].
