The Farm Progress Show is a great opportunity to showcase the innovation, products, services and information helping farmers and ag businesses succeed.

AAI appreciated the opportunity to moderate a discussion with Iowa Corn, Iowa Soybean Association and Iowa Renewable Fuels Association on the challenges and opportunities facing Iowa agriculture. It was a valuable conversation about the issues shaping the future of our industry and the importance of collaboration across agriculture.

Now even more farmers and ag retailers have access to the The Nitrogen Soil Sampling Project. The project has doubled its capacity and expanded the opportunity for free nitrogen sampling to 26 counties.

The sampling provides field-level data to help optimize fertilizer use and benefit water quality. Fields in the the Greater Des Moines and Middle Cedar watersheds are eligible.

Farmers in Audubon, Benton, Black Hawk, Boone, Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Clay, Dallas, Dickinson, Emmet, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Polk, Sac, Tama, Webster, Winnebago, and Wright can now access free fall soil sampling through INREC’s Nitrogen Soil Sampling Program.

The Iowa State Fair is a great way to showcase all that Iowa agribusiness has to offer. We appreciated the opportunity to meet with USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Luke J. Lindberg and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig to discuss trade issues and ways ag trade can move forward to increase markets globally.

AAI appreciated the opportunity to meet with Canada’s Minister of Agriculture this morning to discuss the importance of USMCA and other key policy issues impacting agribusiness, including fertilizer, animal health and biofuels.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share the perspective of Iowa’s agribusiness industry and discuss ways we can continue strengthening our agricultural relationship with Canada.

Grain grading workshop attendees are ready for harvest. The summer workshops concluded today in Altoona as participants sharpened their ability to recognize damaged and undamaged grain.

Thank you to Ziegler CAT for providing the training room, and to the Federal Grain Inspection Service for partnering with us to provide this training. The next grain grading workshops will be held in March of 2027.

The first of two grain grading workshops kicked off today in Fort Dodge as attendees prep for the fall harvest. Participants honed their skills as official inspectors helped them identify different types of grain damage.
