The Agribusiness Association of Iowa exists to advocate, communicate, and educate on behalf of a professional agribusiness industry. www.agribiz.org

The Agribusiness Association of Iowa was formed in 1994, as the result of a merger between the Iowa Grain & Feed Association (IGFA) and the Iowa Fertilizer and Chemical Association (IFCA). The IGFA was organized in 1899 by a group of 150 elevator operators who realized many benefits could be gained within the industry by united action. The IFCA was created in 1964, to promote the use of fertilizer

The AAI Legislative Committee met today to review the 2026 Iowa legislative session and look toward 2027. The committee discussed water quality funding, the Iowa primary election results, and potential AAI policy priorities for 2027.

At World Pork Expo , AAI CEO Julie Kenney joined Sec. Naig and leaders from the National Pork Producers Council , American Soybean Association , and Iowa Farm Bureau for a Farmers for Free Trade roundtable discussion on the importance of the USMCA trade agreement.

Mexico and Canada are our largest trading partners. A full 16-year renewal of USMCA would build on the agreement’s success and provide certainty for investment and growth for farmers and ag businesses.

AAI joined Gov. Reynolds today as she signed HF 2771 into law which provides funding for water quality initiatives in Iowa. AAI is proud to support this Farm To Faucet legislation that provides nearly $320 million in strategic funding for water quality initiatives over the next 12 years.

The AAI Grain Committee met Wednesday to recap changes from the recent legislative session and discuss current industry regulations. Committees provide a broad range of perspectives and guidance to the board on matters that affect AAI members.
