🇩🇰🇺🇸Jesper Møller Sørensen, Denmark’s Ambassador to the United States, visited Grand View for a reception, dinner, and fireside chat in the Henning Student Center before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at an Iowa Cubs game. Lynette Rasmussen moderated the discussion with Ambassador Sørensen.

On Saturday, President Keck was honored to serve as Honorary Grand Marshal for the 2026 Tivoli Fest Parade alongside Danish Ambassador Jesper Møller Sørensen and his daughter, Marie.

Thank you, Ambassador Sørensen, for your meaningful visit, thoughtful conversation, and continued friendship with the Grand View community. We were honored to welcome you to campus and celebrate our shared Danish heritage together!

Volunteer with Grand View in the Varied Industries Building August 13 - 23, 2026! This event would not be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers, and we are excited to host you all again this year!

Everyone who assists with the booth will receive a t-shirt and fair admission the day they staff the booth. There are over 150 slots to be filled throughout the 10 days and booth hours will be 9am – 8pm. Link is in our bio as well.
