Join Grand View's Art & Design Department on Thursday, October 15, for another Artist Talk! Explore WYRD, an exhibition featuring works by Grand View alum Jolynn (Anderson '12) Reigeluth and former professor Mary Jones, exploring themes of fate, identity and personal experiences.

The exhibition will be on display in the Prairie Meadows Gallery in Rasmussen from October 15 through November 20.

Need weekend plans?

Check out the Grand View University Viking Theatre Arts Department as they bring the beloved children’s story Freckleface Strawberry to life this weekend with three FREE performances for young audiences and families.

Freckleface Strawberry, The Musical will be presented Saturday, Oct. 10, at 2 and 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. in the Grand View Theatre. Each performance runs approximately 60 minutes. Don't miss it!

Based on the book by actress and author Julianne Moore, the musical follows Freckleface Strawberry, a young girl who wishes she could get rid of her freckles. Through friendship, humor and adventure, she discovers the importance of accepting herself and embracing what makes her unique.

The production is also reaching young audiences beyond the Grand View campus. The cast and crew will tour eight Des Moines elementary schools, bringing the production to more than 1,700 kindergarten through fifth-grade students.

It’s always great to welcome alumni back to campus! Liz Richardson ’26 and Charlee Heffron ‘26 returned to Grand View to share their work and life experiences after graduation with GV students for the GV Comms Connect: From College to Careers hosted by Multimedia Career Seminar with Dr. Erin Kim-Cho.

Liz works as a Sales and Leasing Associate at Denny Elwell Company. Charlee currently works as Marketing Manager with Catholic Charities Diocese of Des Moines.
