Westside Early Education brought in a butterfly expert to educate our kids! Joel from Des Moines Parks and Recreation helped us learn all about the monarch life cycle. We even got to tag and release a monarch! Joel set up an obstacle course to simulate the life cycle of a monarch and the struggles they face to survive the migration to Mexico. The kids loved this amazing opportunity!

We loved kicking off fall by marching with WEE families and friends in the Beaverdale Fall Festival parade!

Westside Early Education's 3-year-old program includes opening circle time with an introduction to the weekly unit and activities, free play and art, story time, snack time, and gym/outdoor play! Your children will be introduced to a wide range of fun and interesting units: birds, groundhogs, teddy bears, gingerbread, kids in the kitchen, healthy bodies, and more. Special guests even bring a firetruck to teach about fire safety! We still have openings for the 3's class Tues/Wed/Thurs from 12:30-3:00pm or Thurs/Fri from 9:00-11:30am. Westside Early Education's 1 and 2-year-old program includes free play, art projects, gym/outdoor play, snack and story time, and large group activities together with music, dancing, and science experiments. The 1's and 2's class is a great way to introduce children to education and instill an early love of learning. We still have openings for 1-2 days a week Mon-Thurs from 9:00-11:30am.
