Tifereth Israel Synagogue has a new High Holiday Choir Director! Please help us welcome Elliott Stern to the Tifereth Community. Elliot is a talented Ankeny High School Choir Director and we are excited to have his talents direct the Tifereth High Holiday Choir.

Calling all singers and noise makers! The Jewish community of Des Moines needs your voice for the choir portion of High Holidays 5780. Prior choir experience and the ability to read music is appreciated, but not required. We'll be singing Jewish music in both English and (transliterated) Hebrew. This is an opportunity to get to know people across the Jewish community in and around Des Moines, improve your singing, learn some new tunes, and be a part of the High Holidays 5780. The last Tribe event for 5779 will be at El Patio Mexican Restaurant. I hope you can join us. We will be reorganizing Tribe for next year, After much thought and suggestion, we will be splitting Tribe into two groups-
One for people in their 20’s
One for people 30+ and will be combining with the TIS Social Committee
We hope this well encourage more people to get involved, meet new people and have FUN together! We will also be adding more types of events such as, social action events, activity events , holiday events and more.
