🦅💚 KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES — WE’VE GOT YOU! 💚🦅

We know the first day of kindergarten is a BIG milestone! 🥹💚 Our Kindergarten parents will have the special opportunity to park and walk their child to class on the first day of school only. Please use the Northeast Entrance by the Kindergarten classrooms. 1st-6th grade students will follow normal drop off procedures.

Beginning on Day 2, ALL students will follow our normal arrival procedures. This helps our students build independence and helps us create a smooth, safe morning routine for everyone! 💚

***Our doors open at 7:30am. NO STUDENT SHOULD ARRIVE BEFORE 7:30. Students can be dropped when our duty teachers take post outside at 7:30am***

🚗 MORNING ARRIVAL

Our morning car line will be SINGLE FILE and will unload 3 cars at a time:

🟢 Car 1 → Green Flag
⚪ Car 2 → White Flag
🔴 Car 3 → Red Flag

Once those three cars have unloaded, the next three cars will pull forward. Please remain in your vehicle and follow the direction of our car duty staff. 🚗➡️🚗➡️🚗

🚙 AFTERNOON PICK-UP

In the afternoon, cars will line up in three separate lines:

🟢 Green Line
⚪ White Line
🔴 Red Line

Our car duty teachers will direct cars forward when it is time to load students. Please be patient and follow their directions so we can keep dismissal safe, organized, and moving smoothly. 💚

🎉🦅 THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER! 🦅🎉

Our halls are ready, classrooms are waiting, and we CAN'T WAIT to welcome our Eagles back home! 💚📚

🏫 Des Arc Elementary Open House
📅 Thursday, August 6
🕕 6:00PM–8:00 PM

Come spend the evening with us as students:
✨ Explore their new learning space
👩‍🏫 Meet their homeroom teacher
😊 Visit with the classmates they'll be learning and growing alongside this year

🎒 Bring your school supplies and classroom materials if you'd like! Dropping them off during Open House makes the first morning of school much smoother for everyone.

💲 Kindergarten–3rd Grade Families: You may also pay your student supply fee during Open House.

This is one of our favorite nights of the year because we get to see smiling faces, reconnect with families, and officially kick off another amazing year at DAES! 💚🦅

We are counting down the days and can't wait to see each and every one of you!

📚✏️🎒 Des Arc Elementary School Supply Lists Are Here! 🎒✏️📚

It's time to start getting ready for another amazing school year at Des Arc Elementary! 🦅💚 School supply lists for each grade level are posted in the graphic below.

🎒 Reminder: All students will need a backpack (no wheels, please).

💚 Kindergarten–3rd Grade Families: The $40 supply fee covers your child's classroom supplies for the entire school year! 📚✏️🖍️ Teachers will purchase all of the needed classroom supplies, so there is no need to shop for individual supply items—just send your child with a backpack, and we'll take care of the rest!

📝💲 Supply fees may be paid during our Summer Registration Days:

Excited to start a new school year! 💚🦅📚

💚🦅 The countdown to a new school year is on, Eagles! 🦅💚

One of my favorite days of the year is getting to see the excitement on our students' faces as they find out who their teacher will be—and that day is almost here!

Drop in for one of our 2026-2027 Registration:

📅 Tuesday, July 21
📅 Wednesday, July 22
📅 Thursday, July 23

🕣 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
📍 Des Arc Elementary Cafeteria

During registration, families will complete all required paperwork (should take about 15 minutes...a few more if you have multiple children to register). After paperwork is complete, the student will receive a special welcome card revealing who their teacher will be for the upcoming school year! 🎉✏️

🍎 Incoming Kindergarten Families: Most students completed registration packets during screener days, but you'll still need to stop by to pick up your child's welcome card and find out who their teacher will be!

📢 Please remember: We will not be posting class lists this year. The only way to receive your child's teacher assignment is by coming in during one of the registration days.

Our staff has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for another incredible year, and we are so excited to welcome everyone back to Des Arc Elementary! We can't wait to see our hallways filled with smiling faces and watch another year of learning take flight.
