We have decided to have a love offering collection at the conference. We have three women who are partners, in the messy middle, who’s husbands have not chosen recovery. As we know this can lead to boundaries enforced and messy situations arising leaving partners in situations of great financial need.

I feel this puts them in the widow/ orphan category. This is the category the church is called to assist when unexpected tragedy strikes and or life circumstances unfavorable leave us in great need. Instead of condemning and shaming these women for “giving up on their marriage” we know they attempted to call their spouse to something better. They are survivors who will eventually thrive and just need a little help now.

We hope and pray this offering is blessed and prosperous for these three. Their names will not be announced but we will announce what was raised.
