Methodist Children's Learning Center We are a Christian child care program for 0-5 year olds. We offer a 2, 3, or 5 day a week programs. We are excited to announce our NEW director, Mrs.

Visit our website to learn more: https://www.methodistchildrenslearningcenter.com/ MCLC offers a balanced program that enables children to grow physically, mentally, socially and spiritually through participation in individual, small and large group activities. We recognize that play is the child's work and that through play, children learn to interact with others in an acceptable and loving way. We have a caring staff that is devoted to the children that attend MCLC. Natalie Ruano who recently retired from teaching after 32 years of dedication. She is excited in her new endeavors as the Director of MCLC and has a great staff listed below that she works with:

Our rooms are set up in learning centers where a child can manipulate materials, create with blocks and paint, and use language to develop important concepts. Teachers introduce activities that are appropriate to the child's developmental level and are aware of of child's interests and unique characteristics. We are a certified Class B licensed day care facility. Standards for state certification are strictly adhered to: teachers are trained in CPR and first aid procedures, state and national background checks for staff are maintained, and safety and security measures are enforced. Teachers receive 12 hours of in-service each year and are encouraged to continue their education that is partially funded by MCLC. The MCLC is a ministry of First United Methodist Church and is governed by a Board that is ultimately responsible to the Church Council. Day to day operations of the MCLC are under the administration of the Director.

🚜🍂 We’re heading to the farm this week at MCLC!

This week’s theme is Fall on the Farm, with stories, play, and hands-on activities inspired by fall crops, farm animals, tractors, and harvesting.

Our Bible focus is “The Bible Shows Me the Way,” as we talk about kindness, patience, generosity, and faithfulness throughout the week.

We’ll also enjoy Chapel, Music with Ms. Neli, and Bible Time with Ms. Patty, plus a special Lunch Bunch for our upstairs classes! 🥪🍎

October’s Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Dawn! 🤩🎉

With more than 30 years of experience in kindergarten and preschool, Mrs. Dawn brings so much knowledge, structure, and heart to her classroom each day.

She works hard to help her students build the skills and confidence they’ll need as they get ready for their next step into school, while still making sure there’s plenty to look forward to along the way.

We’re so thankful for the joy, consistency, and experience Mrs. Dawn brings to MCLC. Please help us celebrate her as our Teacher of the Month!

🍂 October is here, and we’re kicking off the month with Harvest Happenings at MCLC!

This week, our little learners will be noticing some of the fun changes that come with fall while building important skills through play, movement, music, stories, and time together.

Our Bible focus for the week is a simple one we can all use a little more of: “Be Kind to One Another.”

We’re looking for someone who loves working with children and wants to join a caring, supportive team.

Requirements:

-Must be 18 years or older

-Experience in a licensed child care facility preferred (but not required)

-Must be able to pass a background and fingerprint check

-CPR certification is a bonus

Monday–Friday
8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (shift may vary)

This week at MCLC, we’re taking a closer look at the people and places that make up our neighborhood. 🏡

With our theme, “My Neighborhood,” we'll be learning about community helpers, neighbors, familiar places, and what it means to be part of a community. Along the way, we will also be practicing sharing, cooperation, and showing respect for others.

Our Bible focus this week is “God Wants Us to Love Each Other,” a sweet reminder that caring for the people around us is one of the most important things we can learn.
