Mission & Mantra
The Atypical Company was created by a Michelle C., a single mom who desired to create a company that was ethical and sustainable, but also created products that made sense, were unique, AND would actually be used.
We aim to reduce waste as a way to curb the ever increasing amounts of trash covering our earth. Recycling has largely been ineffective. Single stream processing, poor education on the recycling process, and lack of recycling centers have caused the poor performance of global recycling efforts. Instead, we should focus on waste reduction and reusing/ repurposing of waste. By doing so, the amount of energy used to create new products and the span of our carbon footprint becomes significantly less.
We hope that our products will help everyone continue efforts in creating a sustainable future for generations to come.
