Derby Public Schools recognized students for outstanding academic achievement during the September 14 Board of Education meeting. The students were recognized for earning a perfect score in at least one area of the Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) during the 2025-2026 school year. To commemorate their achievement, students were gifted a custom pin and certificate during a special presentation before the board.

The Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) provides information about student learning and progress toward Kansas academic standards. Assessment results help educators and families understand student strengths and areas for continued growth. Earning a perfect score demonstrates a high level of understanding within their grade level.

We are proud of these students’ accomplishments and recognize the teachers, staff and families who support their academic success.
