Hey there Mathúin Fam!
So just went on this really awesome adventure, finishing over 100 miles in 4 days. While we shifted the plan half way through- he still completed an amazing feat and spent some awesome quality time with his family. Which really brings us to what we’ve been shifting Mathúin to in the last year. So here is the low down on what you will be seeing from this account going forward.
We have been building content to become an educational platform for those individuals, couples and families who want to be more adventurous outdoors and need the correct tools to do so.
Let me tell you a little story. We were out for a hike about 6 months ago- Mike was on a training run and ,the boys, and 2 other family members were hiking the trail until Mike caught us. We come to the bottom of a pretty treacherous hill... and there is a family of four, on the trail, with a city stroller. Dad is carrying the stroller (because the conestoga trail is NOT stroller friendly) and one child while the other child is with the mother, crying. It was the kind of experience that would deter me from ever trying to embark on a hike again.
Mike and Crystal both realized in this moment, that if this family he just been better prepared, they would have had a much different experience. An experience they would want to duplicate instead of terminate.
So that’s when the idea of Mathúin Adventure was finally solidified. An idea that was in the making had finally grown some roots.
Between Mike and Crystal, they have been doing things outside for their entire lives. The cool thing is that both have very different, yet valuable, experiences. Crystal has spent most of her time dry camping in motorhomes and Mike, an Eagle Scout (apparently enough said there 🤣), has spent much of his time like “real” camping- Tents n s**t. Both bring a valuable experience to the newcomer who wants to spend more time outside, especially with their family...Continued in comments...
