Celebrate the Children is a comprehensive, state-approved Special Education program and the first school to use the Developmental, Individual-Difference, Relationship-Based Foundational Capacities for Development (DIR-FCD) model to fulfill the requirements of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for students ages 3-21. Serving students on the autism spectrum (PDD-NOS) who have MSDD (Multisymptom Developmental
Disorder), Regulatory Disorder, ODD, OCD, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, expressive language delay, or mild physical disabilities.

We are so excited to announce that Celebrate the Children is now part of the National School Lunch Program!🍎🥦🥪

School lunches will be available daily, with a variety of healthy and delicious options for everyone!❤️

CTC was incredibly fortunate to welcome a panel of communication advocates, including two CTC alumni, for an Alternative Communication question-and-answer session during our in-service yesterday.

Elizabeth Bonker, Jessica Frew, Max Rafkin, and Victoria Boll shared insights from their experiences as typers, along with methods and strategies for best supporting non-speaking students through their preferred methods of communication.

We are grateful for their time and we commend each of them for using their voices to create change, promote access to education, and increase visibility and understanding around alternative communication.

It was a pleasure to welcome our students back today for orientation! They had the opportunity to visit their new classrooms, meet their teachers, have a little fun, and get back into the swing of life as a CTC Sea Turtle. 🐢💙

📚 Back to school is officially in full swing!

Today, our entire staff came together for our annual in-service day and we kicked things off by focusing on what matters most: relationships. 💜

We jumped into a team-building icebreaker filled with fun prompts, shared memories, plenty of laughs, and lots of opportunities to connect. Staff moved around the gym, found common ground, and got to know their colleagues in new ways. 🐢

Here’s to a new school year filled with connection, collaboration, and plenty of reasons to celebrate! 🎉
