Our final week of Summer Camp, “Think It. Build It. Foam It!”, was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable summer! Campers enjoyed a special visit from the Catawba Science Center and their Adaptation Program, explored creativity at Bricks & Mini Figs, got their hands dirty at The Planthouse, cooled off on a giant waterslide, and enjoyed delicious snow cones. We topped it all off with an epic end-of-summer foam party filled with laughter, fun, and memories to last all year. Thank you to all of our campers and families for an amazing summer—we can’t wait to see you again next year!

DCA Summer Camp Week 7 - Treasure Hunts was full of adventure, creativity, and sweet memories!

This week, our treasure hunters enjoyed a trip to Hip Hip Hooray where they painted their own masterpieces, followed by a visit to Buff City Soap to create their own bath bombs.

Wednesday brought plenty of excitement as everyone cooled off on the water slide, the perfect way to enjoy a summer day.

We also had a great time gem mining with the Schiele Museum, discovering treasures and learning along the way.

Of course, the week wouldn’t be complete without a sweet treat from Milo’s Ice Cream Truck!

Thank you to all of our campers, families, and community partners for making Week 7 another unforgettable adventure. We can’t wait to see what next week has in store!

DCA Summer Camp – Week 6

Week 6 was one for the books! We had an unforgettable visit from Party Pets, soared to new heights at iFLY, challenged ourselves at Cliffhangers, cooled off on the waterslide, and topped it all off with delicious treats from Kona Ice.

From exciting adventures to unforgettable memories, it was a week full of smiles, laughter, and fun. We can’t wait to see what next week has in store!

Denver Christian Academy is excited to welcome back Michael Price as Head Coach of DCAngels Boys Basketball and introduce Dylan Auman as Head Coach of DCAngels Girls Basketball!

Coach Michael Price, a Lincolnton native and graduate of Appalachian State University, brings more than 20 years of basketball experience as a player, coach, and official. After coaching youth basketball in Lincoln County for five seasons, he continued serving the game as a referee. Coach Price is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court.

"I'm excited to bring my experience and love for the game to DCA. My goal is to help each player grow not only in their basketball skills but also as individuals with strong character while building a winning culture on and off the court."

Coach Dylan Auman, an Asheville native and graduate of UNC Asheville, brings over two decades of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, middle school, and club levels. His coaching journey includes stops at Winthrop, USC Upstate, Belmont Abbey, Columbus State, Spartanburg Methodist, Johnson & Wales, Elms College, and most recently as head girls basketball coach at Lincolnton High School and Cox Mill High School.

"This is such a unique time for DCA. My goal is to help each player grow, develop a love for the game, and build a program that feels like an extension of the DCA family for years to come."

Denver Christian Academy is Proud to Welcome Our New Head Soccer Coach – Garry Martin!

We are excited to announce that Garry Martin has joined the Denver Christian Academy family as our new Soccer Coach!

Coach Martin was born and raised in London, England, where he discovered his love for football (soccer) at just seven years old. He played for his school teams throughout his youth before advancing to increasingly competitive local clubs. His talent and dedication eventually led him to play semi-professional football, where his performances caught the attention of scouts.

That hard work paid off when he was signed by one of the most prestigious clubs in the world—Arsenal Football Club.

Playing professionally for the club he had supported since childhood was the realization of a lifelong dream. During his three seasons with Arsenal, Coach Martin experienced the excitement of competing in front of thousands of passionate fans.

Although an injury brought his playing career to an early close, it opened the door to a new calling. Arsenal invested in his future by training him through their coaching program, allowing him to pass on his knowledge, experience, and love of the game to the next generation of players.

Today, Coach Martin is passionate about helping young athletes develop not only their soccer skills, but also their character, discipline, teamwork, and confidence.

DCA Summer Camp – Week 5!

Week 5 was full of fun and adventure! Campers enjoyed an onsite visit from the Catawba Science Outreach Program, exploring rocks, meteorites, and fossils.

We also had exciting field trips to The Pit and the movies to see Toy Story 5! Back at camp, everyone stayed busy with fun crafts, games, and activities while making great summer memories.

What an awesome week!

Week 3 at DCA Summer Camp was a Smash, Splash, and Action-Packed Adventure! 💦☀️

Campers had an unforgettable week filled with excitement, including epic Water Wars, a giant water slide, and fun-filled trips to Ninja Nation and Pin Station. We also enjoyed a special visit from Milo’s Ice Cream, which was the perfect treat on a warm summer day!

From themed activities and games to nonstop laughter and adventure, Week 3 was packed with memories our campers won’t soon forget. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
