Parents play a crucial role in the educational system alongside educators and students. Our family ambassadors are actively involved in supporting our schools every day. They contribute by preparing meals for the students, decorating for assemblies, and sharing their diverse cultures.

To foster a positive culture in schools, it's essential to encourage families to participate and acknowledge their contributions. This morning, our Beacon family ambassadors earned certificates for their dedication, and we celebrated by raffling prizes and treating them to breakfast. This kind of engagement is what drives meaningful change in our educational Community.

It's so tragic. It's everyone's worst nightmare. These are three incredible students that were standing on the front steps of Grant Beacon Middle School for last year's continuation. For some DPS students, this might be the only time they get a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, cranberry and friends. I want to thank the Grant Beacon Middle School cafeteria staff for taking those extra measures for our students and families that we're able to attend.
