Today is World Mental Health Day. An international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.

Mental wellness is a core element of Shift Cycle because we understand that mental health is just as important as physical health (and honestly probably more important). For us, SHIFT is bigger than just fitness. SHIFT is about a shift in mindset, perspective, and overall wellbeing. In the amazingly eloquent words of instructor “i have been putting my heart lately into finding new ways to co-create a space outside of mainstream fitness culture for us, a space where instead of "exercising," we're focusing on movement. instead of intense athleticism and shame, we're choosing connection, joy, and processing what we're carrying with us that sometimes only movement can help release.“

With 1 in 4 people living with a mental illness, we recognize that talking about and supporting the mental health of our community matters: to our riders, their families, their friends, and their futures. Together we can SHIFT the narrative around mental health by coming together to bash the stigma, expand education and resources, and support one another — inside the studio and out.

And if you’re reading this and struggling right now: we see you. we care about you. we see how strong you are, even in silence. we firmly believe better days are coming for you.

And until then, we take each day together one beat at a time.

➖RIDER OF THE WEEK [month]➖
✖️✖️ ✖️✖️
Carson has been riding at Shift Cycle since the beginning of the year. Most instructors have coined him the “WOOO” guy because he brings ALL the energy + a woo crew to match.

In the wise words of this badass father of 3, “Shift Cycle challenges me with the opportunity to create change in my life every day and I never thought I’d find something that would motivate me as much as starting the day at Shift Cycle does. It’s awesome to see this community we all have created become stronger each and every day and I am thankful to be a part of it.”

You rock🤘Carson! Thanks for making our squad one badass stronger + BRINGING ALL THE VIBES.
