Recently, the Department of Defense (DoD) awarded a cooperative agreement to the Alliance of Hispanic Serving Research Universities (HSRU) to enhance the academic and professional success of students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. St. Cajetan’s church now shines in its original 1926 colors after a holiday repaint. The vibrant yellow walls and bold blue trim honor its history as the first Hispanic parish in Denver and a place of worship for the Auraria neighborhood. Today, this iconic landmark hosts weddings, lectures, and community events. St. Cajetan’s stands as a beautiful reminder of Auraria’s rich history and cultural roots.

This fall, English Instructor Matthew Jellick launched a book club for students in CU Denver’s International College of Beijing (ICB) program in Beijing, China. The group dove into Gabrielle Zevin’s "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" and met bi-weekly at a local coffeehouse. After a successful launch, the book club plans to continue next semester.
