Aditi Misra – CEDC Early Career Award for Excellence in Research
Kevin Rens – CEDC Outstanding Faculty in Leadership & Service (TT)
Susan Stirrup – CEDC Outstanding Faculty in Leadership & Service (IRC)
We also extend special recognition to Aditi Misra, who was selected as one of five inaugural Tullis Faculty Fellows. This honor recognizes faculty who demonstrate excellence in teaching and research, meaningful service, and a trajectory toward national leadership.
Through her work in econometric modeling, machine learning, and mixed-methods research, Dr. Misra is addressing real-world challenges in safety, equity, and accessibility across modern transportation systems.

We’re proud of UCD’s Steel Bridge Team for representing our program at the 2026 ASCE Student Symposium in Rapid City, SD (April 23–25)!
The team earned 2nd place in Aesthetics and 5th overall, highlighting their creativity and craftsmanship. They demonstrated strong performance throughout the event and successfully met every milestone leading up to the final stage.
Eight students represented UCD with dedication, teamwork, and resilience—an accomplishment worth celebrating!
