10 years of Bold Font. 💜

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to look back at where this all started.

There were no guarantees. No perfectly mapped-out plan. Just a lot of belief, curiosity, and a few incredible people who saw what Bold Font could become before it had fully become it.

And somehow, one idea turned into ten years of learning, experimenting, creating, and growing alongside some truly remarkable people.

That’s the part we’re most grateful for.

The clients who trusted us. The teams who welcomed us in. The people who challenged us to think differently. And everyone who has been part of Bold Font along the way.

Watching people grow, step into new roles, build confidence, and go on to do incredible things has been one of the greatest gifts of this work.

Ten years later, we’re still curious. Still taking risks. Still learning. Still finding better ways to help people become the best versions of themselves.

And mostly, we’re just really, really grateful to be here. 💜

What’s the thing most great leaders most resist doing?⁠
* Telling themselves the truth because they’re so used to carrying responsibility that they mistake performance for authenticity. The biggest breakthroughs often begin when someone finally admits what they already know deep down.⁠

What’s something about you outside of work that makes you a better coach?⁠
* I’m endlessly curious about people and love collecting experiences. Whether it’s traveling somewhere new, dancing until sunrise, getting lost in a deep conversation with a stranger, or spending time in nature, those experiences constantly remind me that there are countless ways to see the world.⁠

You can only listen to one song on repeat forever. What is it?⁠
* “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley. It’s simple, hopeful, and a gentle reminder that things have a way of working themselves out.⁠

Favorite food?⁠
* I don’t think I could ever choose just one. I grew up as a third culture kid with Indian, East African, and Canadian roots, in a family that celebrated food from all over the world. We traveled often, and I fell in love with bold, vibrant flavors. If I had to narrow it down, I’d say Lebanese, Italian, and Kenyan Indian barbecue. In fact, one of the reasons I’ve stayed in Nairobi for nearly 13 years is because nowhere does Indian Kenyan barbecue quite like Kenya. Everyone should experience it at least once.⁠

Book you think all leaders should read?⁠
* The Four Agreements. Leadership isn’t just about leading other people. It’s about leading yourself first. ⁠

Fun fact?⁠
* I took a sabbatical early in my career to reconnect with my roots, expecting it to be a temporary chapter. Instead, I found myself building a life in Nairobi, where I’ve now lived for almost 13 years!

What's the thing most great leaders most resist doing?
* Slowing down. The pace of work is so fast that it pushes leaders to solve what has been presented to them; however, that's not always the real issue, which can create bigger issues that take more time to resolve.

What's something about you that makes you a better coach?
* I love learning random facts about anything. This provides the perspective that I can never know everything, so I might as well get curious.

* Potatoes in any form.

* The Great Gatsby

Book you think that all leaders should read?
* Culture Map by Erin Meyer. I think this is a book everyone should read. Meyer breaks down how different cultures communicate and differences in cultural norms, which provides a powerful perspective that I think encourages curiosity!
