Our Time Attack Racing Club students have been busy prepping their 190 car for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (also known as the Race to the Clouds)!
And they've already reached huge milestones like installing a brand new roll cage for driver Matthew Butson (MS '24). Their goal? Be the first college team to compete in the "Race to the Clouds" on four wheels!
It's been amazing watching their journey from the time they secured a space in the Ritchie School garage to where they are today!

Last weekend, our amazing students Alyssa Bulai, Eli Newman, Shirui Liu, and Spencer Lu came together to organize the 2026 SummitHack Hackathon at the University of Denver - Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science. In a matter of 24-hours, students collaborated to create innovative, sustainability-focused solutions.
And the winning project of the SummitHack? BinSight!
Built by our students Will Killebrew and Henry Tischler, this useful app helps you quickly find out if something goes in the recycling, trash, compost, or hazardous waste. Congratulations Will and Henry on your well-deserved win!
A big thank you to our sponsors Cursor, Wit Digital, and ISSA Denver Chapter for making it all possible!
