In golf we’ve been working on ‘s foundation since he first came to me when he was 13 years old. It’s like the grandstands at the 16th hole at the . Those wouldn’t hold 30k fans all week if the foundation of that temporary building wasn’t on solid ground, it would crumble under pressure.
The body is the same way. In 25 years in the industry one thing I know after evaluating thousands of amateur players - 95% of you reading this don’t have a strong enough foundation to allow you to learn and play your best golf. Sorry just the facts.
That foundation starts and ends with solid posture, mobility, flexibility, stability, muscle and strength.

The hips and pelvis are probably the most important area in the golf swing… are yours tight from too much sitting and not enough care?
Try this deep squat move and I challenge you to do it daily for two weeks for a 1 minute minimum and up to three minutes to see how much better you’ll feel and function.

Posture is crucial in all things life and when it is compromised it creates many problems with:

👉🏻breathing mechanics- can’t inhale very much when your diaphragm is compressed

So thankful to have my beautiful, kind and God loving wife in my life for 25 years. Yes it’s been REaLLY hard sometimes but it was because I started out as a selfish, hard hearted, addicted boy who thought he was “all that.” Well Jesus had a different plan for me and our kids by radically changing me, freeing me from my addictions (including to self) and re-writing our families legacies with a promise to our kids.
To say I’m humbled is an understatement. God is good. He does miracles. He loves us, and he’s prepared a way for us eternally. For this week we got to live a little slice of heaven thank you to my friend for letting us stay here at the . This place is out of this world and something we would’ve never been able to come to!

Yes GOLFERS, interval training is beneficial for your athleticism and thus your game!
On vacation or even at your home gym, when you have a lot of choices try this intense interval workout:
*10min warmup
*5mins total work on each machine
*30secs @ 80-90% HR with 30secs rest in between = 5 intervals at ea station is 25 intervals!
*be sure to cool down at least 10mins at end with light stretches

Quick warm up
👉🏻 2 mins- Marches w/front, side and overhead reaches
👉🏻 30 secs- Golf swings, dead arms
👉🏻 30 secs- torso swings- dead arms
👉🏻 30 secs- Swim moves- dead arms
👉🏻 30 secs- Hopping using feet and ankles only
This a great way to not only stimulate your body but prepare your nervous system for movement no matter the sport or activity.

Continuing with the overhead deep squat screen a few days ago and moving up into the thoracic spine region, aka rib cage. This are is a “mobile” segment of the body that needs to rotate and flex and extend. Got a few tips for you but remember each of us need different things so these are general, known ideas.
