EDNA - Emergency Dependent Network Application In case of an emergency, make sure your loved ones are handled by people you trust. We are in an early stage of operations.

At the risk of seeming campy, call it the Village – that group of other parents, friends, family, teachers and administrators that we can call upon to make sure our dependents are handled when they’re depending on us. But what happens in the case you’re incapacitated, and can’t move the Village to action? Schools, daycares and other institutions have very good procedures in place to start looking for responsible parties, but the process doesn’t begin until a faculty member notices a pick-up deadline has passed. Your other Village members may know something has happened, but don’t know what they can do to help or with whom they should be coordinating. We’ve developed the database, the trigger mechanism and the ability to sign up new users. We’re in what we like to think of as the market testing portion of the company – to see if there is really a demand for the service. Because of our early stage, we ask that you forgive the basic look of our website, our limited services and our occasional mistakes. While we are planning to provide a range of features and services through Edna, we are focused on ensuring our core service – notification of your trusted contacts in an emergency situation – works with 100% certainty.

After two years developing Edna and bringing her to market, we’ve determined that not enough people are ready for her services for her to be economically viable. With great sadness, we are announcing that Edna will be mothballed as of the end of this week.

This doesn’t mean this will be the end of Edna entirely, just for the time being. Since keeping our kids safe in emergencies will always be a concern, we’re confident there will be a time for Edna to return in one form or another.

However, Edna services will discontinue this week and your labels will no longer activate your notification systems. Please remove the Edna labels from your phone cases as soon as possible. Also, please accept our apologies for whatever difficulties you have in removing the Edna labels from your phone cases. They were designed to last, of course.
