Why does the same muscle keep getting tight?
You stretch it. Foam roll it. Maybe get a massage.
It feels better for a while... and then the tightness comes right back.
Sound familiar?
The problem isn’t always just the muscle itself.
Your body works as a system. When one area isn’t moving or functioning well, another area may have to compensate. Over time, that compensation can contribute to recurring tension, discomfort, and restricted movement.
That’s why simply treating the spot that hurts doesn’t always solve the bigger issue.
When evaluating a recurring problem, it’s important to consider:
• Joint mobility
• Soft-tissue function
• Strength and movement control
• Daily habits and movement patterns
Stretching and foam rolling can absolutely be useful tools for improving mobility and managing muscle tension. But they’re only one piece of the puzzle.
If that same shoulder, neck, hip, or low back issue keeps coming back, it may be worth looking beyond temporary relief and addressing the bigger picture.
And if it’s been a while since I’ve seen you, you don’t have to wait until you’re in significant pain to come back in.
Let’s help you move better, feel better, and stay active.
