FIVE ROOTS is an art, education and community collective. FIVE ROOTS, which has its literal “roots” in the Five Points community was started to promote the inclusion of art and creativity in our communities, lower income schools and our daily lives. Our plan of action is to host monthly community events (artist workshops, educational and informational seminars, themed fundraising parties etc.) that showcase a wide array of art, culture, and entertaining local and national talent. In addition to these events we will also be presenting schools, childcare centers and youth programs with mentorships, assembly programs, free exposure to concerts, galleries, behind the scenes visits to national productions and more in an effort to foster and support creativity in kids. Harking back to the culture and style of the Five Points community in the early 1920’s-50’s, FIVE ROOTS intends to be the catalyst for a collaborative, supportive and inspiring entertainment and art community throughout Denver.
