Michael Mayeresera came to Daniels chasing a long-held dream: a master's in accounting, technology and analytics that would change his family's future.
When a high-interest loan nearly ended that dream, the late Sharon Lassar, then head of the School of Accountancy, stepped in with a scholarship grant from Daniels alumni Steve and Gail Duree. The Durees created the fund in 2021 to pay it forward, knowing firsthand how much a scholarship can impact a student's path.

This spring, Daniels faculty Lorenzo Patelli moved the classroom into corporate offices across Denver, sending Daniels MBA students into boardrooms at Ball Corporation, KPMG, Arrow Electronics, Plante Moran, GLC Advisors and Junior Achievement.
This new initiative, Class@Work, is : an illustration of what it means to be the country’s most market-connected business school. As Patelli puts it, "Daniels opens doors, and the community multiplies them."

H Andre Thomas, a Daniels alumnus and member of the University of Denver's Board of Trustees, delivered the Undergraduate Commencement address this past weekend.
Thomas has been part of some of the most consequential moments in modern business history, and through it all, he has never forgotten where it started: at DU. His advice to the : lean on hope and resilience.

Ashley Bremers describes her winding career path as more of a jungle gym than a ladder.
Her journey includes cancer research labs, restaurant kitchens, spacecraft factories and the frontier of artificial intelligence. It wasn't until she entered the Executive MBA program at Daniels that she started to see the through line connecting every stop.
Bremers will graduate this week and is currently the AI Partner Lead at Unburdn, acting as a fractional chief AI officer for companies navigating the AI landscape.

Olamide "Lami" Olorunkosebi knew exactly what he wanted from an MBA program: an experience rooted in real-world work, mirroring his hands-on background in architecture. The full-time Denver MBA at Daniels was the perfect fit.
Olorunkosebi recently joined McMillan Pazdan Smith—an architecture, advisory services, planning and interior design firm—which recruited him for his ability to combine architectural expertise with the strategic and leadership skills he built at Daniels.
He advises current and future students to recognize the opportunity in front of them, build meaningful connections on campus and make the most of the moment.

Meet Daniels student Tommy Hancock—he's a captain on the men's swimming and diving team, an alum of the undergraduate finance program and is set to get his master's in applied quantitative finance. After a connection made at a career fair, he landed a JP Morgan internship that turned into a full-time analyst offer waiting for him after commencement this week.
