We have a new Art teacher at Lowry, Mr. Weber! 🖼️ 🎨

We are kicking off Teacher Feature this year with five fun facts about our new specials teacher, Mr. Weber:

1. I like being outside and in the mountains. 🏔️
2. I enjoy spending time working in my garden. 🪏
3. I have a 2 year old golden retriever named Stella. 🐕
4.I grew up in Parker, CO and graduated from MSUDenver. 🗺️
5.I enjoy traveling to new places. 🧳

The best partnerships don't just change one school, they inspire change far beyond it.

Four years ago, our school partnered with Bella's Buddies Inc. to bring service dogs into our building to support student mental health. What followed exceeded our expectations, our entire school environment transformed. Students and staff experienced stronger well-being, greater confidence, and we continue to increase academic achievement.

This summer, we had the honor to work alongside the Bella's Buddies team as we trained educators from Louisa County Public Schools in Virginia to launch their own program. Watching this work expand to another district was a powerful reminder that the best ideas are meant to be shared.

Thank you to Bella's Buddies for changing lives, and to Denver Public Schools for fostering a culture where innovation and collaboration are encouraged. Together, we're creating brighter futures for students.

Thanks to the 5th Grade Leadership team, Ms. SJ, and Ms. Zahra for planning Friday’s dance party. Thank you to our Lowry Elementary PTO for providing refreshments. Students and staff had a blast celebrating in the gym. 🎶 🪩
