At Performance High we don't do recitals, we do Live Band showcases. Professional venues, sound and lights, backing musicians. The feel of a real performance! Our showcases play to huge and enthusiastic crowds, encouraging you in every step you take and every note you sing.

Registration is now open for Performance High's Sunday August 16 at Nissi's in Lafayette - one of our favorite venues, with top-notch sound, a huge stage, and plenty of room to accommodate your adoring fans! And as always, it will be an epic event, with performances from our Pop Choir, member collab projects, and ... maybe you?

2026 Performance High Pop Choir
When: Tuesdays weekly, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm

NEW FOR 2026: Sing all year long! Our Pop Choir now runs year-round for just $37/month — an easy, affordable way to keep the music going. Headed on vacation? No worries! Enjoy flexible participation — if you need to miss a week for a trip or holiday, no problem. Stay connected, keep singing, and have fun all year long.

Join Pop Choir and take the stage! You’ll perform at showcases, with exciting additional opportunities for pop-up and flash mob performances throughout the year — bringing music and community together in unforgettable ways. Every event is a chance to share your voice!

Rehearsals are fun and social, with our experienced coach Joe Mondragon, and include vocal warmups and some vocal instruction as needed. You’ll have sheet music and recorded practice tracks to help you learn between sessions.

And the most unique part about our Pop Choir is… custom song arrangements! Got an idea for a song? Let us know! We make custom arrangements for hot new tunes and old classics alike – so we have tunes no other choir performs.

Everyone 16 and up is welcome, whether or not you take lessons at Performance High. All levels of experience. No audition.

Vocal Technique Masterclass: Creating a Home Practice

In this masterclass, we’ll demystify the idea of practice and give you the tools to create a home routine that works for you. Whether you struggle with consistency, feel unsure what to focus on, or just want to get more out of your practice time, this session will help you build clarity, confidence, and momentum.

We’ll explore what defines meaningful practice (hint: it’s not just repetition), how to set realistic, motivating goals, and how to track progress so you can actually see—and feel—your growth. You’ll also learn how to stay motivated and overcome common obstacles that get in the way of consistency.
You’ll learn how to structure your time for maximum impact—so even short sessions feel productive and purposeful—and we’ll move beyond theory by trying out exercises together, breaking down what they do, why they matter, and how to incorporate them into your own routine.

You’ll leave with a clear, personalized framework for practicing at home, along with the tools and understanding to keep growing, meet your goals, and build lasting confidence in your voice.

Not gonna lie. Moving day is giving us the feels. Our teacher group chat is full of stories, of how much our time at Soundstructure has enriched them - jobs obtained, lessons taught, videos shot, music recorded, bands formed, practices run, showcases held, tribes found, purposes discovered...lives changed. We are so excited for our new chapter, but leaving this place, with all its beautiful history, is bittersweet. But for now, lights off Soundstructure!
