Helping to build a stronger nonprofit community. There are several ways your organization can benefit from our relationship.
Below are a few of the most common services requested by my clients. Have needs outside of what is listed below? Shoot me an email, and I'll see how I can help. Board Training & Development
Nonprofit boards of directors have a unique position in the functioning of a healthy organization. As the keepers of the organizational mission, vision, and values, it is important to have well informed board m
embers who are equipped to govern our organizations to success. Our Board Development services help board members and the staff who support them better understand their duties, rights and obligations. From a short 2-hour meeting to a weekend long retreat, I can help to meet your board's training and development needs. Planning: Strategic, Operational, & Program
Planning is essential to the effectiveness and success of an organization and its programs. However, due to many limitations, many organizations do not understand the power planning can bring to the organization. Beginning with the strategic planning process organizations are uniquely positioned to address many of our communities issues. A proper strategic plan should be brought to life through organizational planning and sustained through proper program planning. I will work with with your board, organizational leadership and staff to address planning within your organization at these levels which will help to justify and solidify the work of your organization. Evaluation: Organizational & Programmatic
How do we know our programming or the organization itself is achieving the outcomes and outputs we are hoping for? Our evaluation services will help address this question through qualitative and quantitative analysis. When the evaluation is complete your organization will receive a written report outlining the process as well as the findings. The provided results will help you to communicate more clearly and effectively with potential donors, current funders, and your community of constituents as well. Needs Assessment: Organizational & Programmatic
While we all have great ideas about how we should go about supporting our communities, how do we know the programs we would like to develop would be well received among our constituents? Assessing the need for a program, service, and even an organization helps to provide some degree of understanding how successful we may or may not be. A needs assessment helps to understand all the stakeholders involved and what ways of meaningful engagement they may seek. What To Expect from Our Work Together? Each organization has its own set of unique circumstances from which the need assistance may grow. When working with me to meet your developmental and education needs, you should expect the following:
* to be listened to. While missions may be similar, nonprofit organizations are as unique as snowflakes. During our initial conversations my purpose is to listen to what you articulate as your needs and to propose how our work together could most benefit our organization's issues.
* to have your needs met. Many service providers attempt to meet their clients needs with tools and resources which may not be the most applicable to the organization's needs at hand. All clients receive recommendations which are specific to each organization's needs.
* continued guidance. Our relationship does not end when the training session ends or you receive the final report. Follow-up during the 12-months after our initial engagement will help to clarify any questions which may come up afterwards or if additional needs should arise. Most needs can be met for no additional charge, or at a nominal additional fee.
