It’s always a great day when one of our Denver Cyclones gets recognized on the State level for their talents and accomplishments. Senior student Leo Burk has been accepted as an alto into the 76th Iowa All State Chorus, the highest possible honor for high school choir students. Over 2,400 students auditioned for this prestigious honor, and Leo was 1 of 600 to be accepted. They will proudly represent Denver at the Iowa All State Festival in Ames in November. We are so proud of you, Leo—We know the hours of practice and time you dedicated over the summer and throughout the school year and love you have you representing our school community at All State Choir!

Our school year would never be possible if it weren’t for the work our custodial staff and others did over the summer. In addition to regular maintenance and building improvements, they relocated several elementary classes, cleared away the old secondary building and setup an entirely new secondary building. A simple “Thank You” just scratches the surface of how grateful we are. Please help us applaud and celebrate them! (if you know their helpful faces, tag them below!)
