2024, and this is the first time a woman has preached at the National Baptist Convention (NBC). The NBC celebrated this herstorical moment by taking the sermon off of its website. SMDH. This is why I left the NBC 15 years ago. Women are 2nd class citizens, many are dying a slow death there and many help to perpetuate this madness. I was one of them until I embraced God’s freedom.😔I wrote about my experience in my doctoral work. “A Critical Analysis of Preaching in the NBCUSA: The Socio-Cultural and Existential Reality of Women.”
