The holiday season is returning to Auraria Campus! 🎄✨

We’re excited to welcome the Denver Christkindlmarket and Mile High Tree back to campus. The Denver Christkindlmarket will run November 20–December 23, with the Mile High Tree continuing through December 31.

This beloved Denver tradition brings festive food and drinks, local and international vendors, seasonal entertainment and holiday cheer to the heart of downtown Denver, and we’re thrilled to once again be part of the celebration.

We look forward to welcoming our campus community and visitors from across the Denver community to experience the magic of the season at Auraria Campus.

Auraria Campus on 9NEWS! 🎥

Yesterday, David Olguin, Auraria Campus Director of Cultural & Community Engagement, and Alexis Newton, co-founder of Catrinas en Mi Ciudad, joined 9NEWS to share the story behind this year’s monumental altar overlooking the Tivoli Quad.

Now, we invite our campus and Denver community to experience it in person. ✨

Join us tomorrow, October 8, for a special community event as we come together to illuminate the monumental altar and celebrate Día de los Mu***os through culture, remembrance and community.

Thank you to 9NEWS for helping us share the meaning behind this special installation and the collaboration bringing it to life on the Auraria Campus.

🌭 BBQ with a Badge! 👮‍♀️🍪

Every year, the Auraria Campus Police Department brings our campus community together for BBQ with a Badge, an opportunity to grab some free food, enjoy a few treats and connect with the people who help serve and support our campus.

This year, students, faculty and staff joined members of ACPD, the Denver Police Department, campus emergency management teams and our institutional Criminal Justice programs for good food, cookies and conversation.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, learned more about campus resources and spent some time getting to know our community partners!

And a special thank you to ACPD for serving up lunch for our Auraria community. 💙

Yesterday, we celebrated the Vibrant Entrances Project with special Artist Talks featuring Colorado artists Julio “Juls” Mendoza and Jaime Molina, along with refreshing agua frescas from The Wild Jungle Snacks!

As part of the Vibrant Entrances initiative, Juls and Jaime have brought their distinctive artistic voices to the entrances of the 7th Street Garage, transforming these everyday spaces into colorful, welcoming destinations that reflect the diverse stories, histories and creative spirit of the Auraria Campus.

The Artist Talks gave our campus community an opportunity to hear directly from the artists about their work, creative process and inspiration behind the project, and to celebrate the people and creativity bringing new energy to our shared campus spaces.

The Vibrant Entrances Project is about more than adding color to campus. It’s about creating spaces that feel welcoming, inspire connection and celebrate the community that makes Auraria unique.

A huge thank you to Juls and Jaime for sharing their incredible talents with our campus community, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate! 🎨

📍 Think you know Auraria Campus? Let’s find out! 👀

The Discover Auraria Pins Challenge is officially ON! Explore campus, find the hidden pins, and submit what you discover for your chance to complete the challenge.

🔎 Need a little help? Most are hiding in plain sight… but we’ll admit, two are a little trickier. So here are a couple hints:

🚗 Hint #1: One pin might be hanging out near a place on campus where you can take care of some DMV business…

🚨 Hint #2: Another might be near the future home of something new coming to campus that’s all about keeping our community safe…

Think you can find them all? 👀📌

Recess CEO Jason Romero and Auraria Campus CEO Colleen Walker discussed what this exciting new addition means for Auraria and how Recess will soon call the historic Tivoli Student Union home, opening in the former Tivoli Brewing space.

Students can now add Recess to their schedule, and so can the rest of the Denver community! 🍔🎉
