Accelerated Schools Accelerated Schools is an independent, co-educational day school for students in middle & high school Any student may begin classes, any day, year-round.

Accelerated Schools is an accredited private school in Denver, CO with an average class size of 7:1. Each student is enrolled with an individualized academic plan of instruction, relevant to their individual needs. This allows our students to be prepared for the next level without the need for remediation. At Accelerated Schools, we offer High School and Middle School with open enrollment. If you

find that your child has fallen behind for any reason, we are able to help. Our student-teacher ratio of 7:1 will give them the academic attention they need. Our students receive no failing grades and the effectiveness of our program(s) has proven itself year after year, since 1966. If students are lagging in any given subject, the teacher emphasizes the curriculum in that skill until they meet the mastery requirements for that subject. Again, we accomplish this because of our small class sizes of 7:1 and the individualized academic plan.

At Accelerated Schools, we know that every student learns, grows, and thrives differently. Supporting our students means supporting the whole family, which is why we’re excited to share a few fantastic community events and support spaces happening across Denver this September:
• Low-Sensory & Peer Support Meetups: Looking for relaxed spaces to connect? Check out local low-sensory "parallel play" bookish hangouts in South Denver (Sep 7) or local peer circles centered on navigating neurodiversity with zero pressure.
• Northwest Denver AudHD Peer Support (Wed, Sep 9): A small-group peer circle hosted at the Edgewater Library focusing on sharing experiences around executive dysfunction, burnout, and life transitions
• ADHD & Neurodivergent Clarity Workshop (Fri, Sep 11): Hosted at the Denver Central Library, this supportive workshop offers practical strategies for organizing projects, homework, and executive dysfunction.
• Walk With Autism & Resource Fair (Sat, Sep 19): Join the Autism Society of Colorado at Berkeley Lake Park (10 AM–1 PM) for an inclusive 5K/1-mile route, fun activities, and a massive vendor fair with local family resources!

Wrapped up July with a trip back in time at the historic Argo Gold Mine & Mill in Idaho Springs! ⛏️✨ Walking through the tunnel and seeing that massive red mill set against the mountains was unreal. Plus, getting to pan for real gold at the end was the ultimate payoff. Still waiting on my fortune, but 10/10 for the adventure! 🏔️🪙

First day in the books! 🎒✨

Instead of diving straight into syllabus read-alouds and classroom rules on our first day back last week, we spent our time breaking the ice, laughing, and getting to know the unique personalities that make up our room this year.

Building a strong, supportive community comes first. When students feel seen, valued, and comfortable with one another, the real learning naturally follows.

Seeing the energy, curiosity, and kindness in the room makes it clear this is going to be a fantastic year. Welcome back, everyone! 🍎📚

We had the best day last week exploring the Nature & Science Museum! 🦖✨ Between the ancient fossils and the space exhibits, we had an amazing first activity of the school year. 10/10 recommend taking a day to get lost in some science. 🪐👀
