At our Tambien Day of Action, passionate volunteers planted vegetables, herbs, and flowers at our neighbors’ homes. One group finished planting with time to spare and built a solitary bee home to attract important pollinators to the freshly planted garden.
Providing a nesting habitat helps declining native bee populations, especially in the human environment. Bee homes encourage solitary tunnel-nesting bees to nest in your yard and transfer their pollen to your plants, promoting the growth of fruit.
Using just a recycled aluminum can, duct tape, bamboo pieces, and some string, you, too, can create your own bee home!

The GrowHaus Harvest Nights is thrilled to welcome our long-time partner Ratio Beerworks as an esteemed beverage provider! 🍻
Stemming from their deep roots in the punk rock music scene, Ratio’s co-founders sought to translate that same DIY spirit, sense of community, and inclusiveness through their brewery.
A signature Ratio ale, the King of Carrot Flowers, was actually developed in honor of The GrowHaus many years ago, and will be making a comeback at Harvest Nights!
Ratio’s community-minded approach and meticulously crafted beverages will pair perfectly with the culinary excellence and community connection of Harvest Nights. We look forward to sharing a Ratio with you this fall!

Believe it or not, summer is just around the corner, and that means welcoming our youngest neighbors to The GrowHaus’ summer youth programs!
Children and teens will join us for an immersive summer experience where they learn lifelong skills, like following recipes and working as a team, and explore their power as emerging community leaders during field trips and independent passion projects. Abejitas, The GrowHaus’ summer program for children and their caregivers, will delve into broader aspects of wellness, including physical activity and connection to the natural world.
A new cohort of local high school students will soon begin The GrowHaus’ paid teen program, Seed2Seed, where they will gain valuable experience in leadership, community advocacy, and food justice work.
Stay tuned for summer fun with these future leaders!
