We’ll done and congratulations Kevin!

Colorado Springs resident and UCCS graduate Kevin McDowell made history today by earning the highest-ever finish by an American man at the Olympic Games in triathlon with a sixth place finish! 🇺🇸

His sixth-place finish is one better than four-time U.S. Olympian Hunter Kemper’s, who also lives in , seventh-place showing at the Beijing 2008 Games.

Hi Advocates!

On behalf of the entire CU Advocates program, Board Chair Zach Rothmier and Vice Chair Colin Finch, along with the CU Government Relations Office, have written and sent a letter to the Colorado Congressional delegation and state elected officials. The letter thanks our elected officials for their support of higher education during this critical time, and also asks for their ongoing consideration of higher education during future budgetary decisions. The CU Advocates network stands by ready to assist our elected officials and their colleagues during this unprecedented time in Colorado’s history.

CU researchers garnered a record $1.2 billion in research funding in FY 2018-19. That not only fares well for the future, it fares well for the Colorado economy.

CU faculty researchers secured a record $1.2 billion in funding for 2018-19. The success is due to the high quality of CU’s faculty, the staff who support them and the students who work with them. Well done University of Colorado Boulder, UCCS, University of Colorado Denver and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
