In 1977 a team of scientists and engineers launched the most ambitious space odyssey of all time. It’s called Voyager. In Dr. McDonnall’s upcoming recital, “Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground: Music and the Voyager Spacecraft”, we will tell the story of Voyager using a series of lectures, videos, images taken by Voyager, and of course, music.

Join us tomorrow night for another recital!
Undergraduate Senior, Dana Portnoy, will perform her recital tomorrow night at 7:30pm in Hamilton Recital Hall w/ collaborative pianist, Dr. Cody Garrison.
Her recital is themed: Mercurial Music
Mercurial Music is about taking a night to read between the lines, and through the universal language of music, be able to tap into those places where conflicting emotions exist together in dissonant harmony. Feeling like bittersweetness and nostalgia. Desperately seeking vulnerable connection, but fearing the consequences of the truth. Believing someone close to you has your best interests in mind, yet doubting their intentions are pure. Wanting to share your life with someone despite people close to you disapproving. Sitting with these feelings and realizing none of us are alone in our struggles is crucial to a fulfilling life and finding inner peace. I hope to see you there!
