12 years ago, Axel joined Denver City Lax and picked up his first stick.

Today, he’s entering his senior year at the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business and just wrapped up his second year interning at Northmarq Commercial Real Estate.

Axel has accomplished a lot over those 12 years, but maybe most importantly, he’s built relationships that have opened doors. His lacrosse connections helped lead to his internship at Northmarq, where his work ethic and contagious positivity have made an impression. Now, he’s hoping to join the Northmarq team full time after graduating next spring.

A huge thanks to Dave Link, JJ Rutherford and everyone else who helped make this opportunity possible.

This is one of many examples of what we hope City Lax can be: a long term community that helps young kids grow from lacrosse players into confident young adults ready for whatever comes next.

From the first stick to the next chapter. ❤️🥍
