A Letter and Final Chapter
https://mailchi.mp/ba216fdd5f54/building-bridges-final-chapter
"2022 is simply not how we envisioned or predicted it being. We have felt the strain of burnout and turnover as we and our community partners navigate this “post-covid” reality, and noticeable change in the market. In addition to the continued pressure on schools and young people. The world continued to shift and transform around us, even with thorough planning, and passionate conviction in the Building Bridges way. Knowing this, we wrestled with how we can move forward while asking ourselves the difficult question of moving forward at all. At Building Bridges we live and breathe our mission, but after a thorough internal review we found that the most mission aligned decision would be to close."

Building Bridges has been equipping leaders with the skills they need to drive change for more than 25 years. Based in Denver, Colorado, our work has evolved over time - from our roots in peacemaking abroad to our present focus on racial equity and intersectional liberation here at home. Today, we serve as a transformational leadership development orgniazation supproting a new way of diverse and inclusive leaders with the skills and confidence to advocate and act for social justice.
Our vision is to build a more just and inclusive world by supporting inclusive leaders in finding their voice and developing the skills, relationship, and resilience they need to successfully lead their organizations and communities in anti-racism, equity, and inclusion efforts.
We don't want to be dependent on big funders, foudnations, or corporate donors in order to survive. Instead, we want to maximize the impact of our broad base of grassroots supports to be an interdependent, self-sustaining community. Because of generosity of supports like you, Building Bridges continues to be able to impact youth and adults alike that still seek opportunities to invest meaningfully into their communities.
Your gift TODAY, will allow us to continue to show up for our communities, engage our participants, and create space for challenging conversations into 2022 and beyond. Help us breakthrough the summer of 2022. The only way out is through. There is still need for conversations to happen. For folks to engage in the long haul, to lean into discomfort, confront the hard stuff. And we are here for it.

Uprooted seeks to create space for white identified individuals to increase their skills, accountability, connection and support for dismantling white supremacy.
Its another opportunity to to stay engaged and deepen in your identity development. We are seeing the repercussions of fatigue and disbelief. The call for white folks to create anti racist culture together has not gone away. Come join our movement of inclusive leaders in order to be a good steward for your values, the people around you and to reignite a breakthrough of yet another moment that is asking for us to show up, instead of fall back into the traps that would keep us separate and out of the numerous social issues that do desperately need our full attention.
