Denver Online offers personalized, interactive in-person and online middle school and high school classes designed for students needing flexibility.

Denver Online is a progressive online Denver Public School that provides motivated 6th-12th grade students with flexible online and blended learning. The school was created in 2003, and our courses utilize Schoology, an online learning management system, and Zoom, a video conferencing system, that allow teachers and students to interact through a variety of communication mediums. Our motto is, “DO

MORE,” because we believe that online education allows the time and location flexibility to pursue college, careers, community service, competitive sports, traveling, and so much more. Denver Online works diligently to connect students with tuition-free college courses, service learning activities, and special school events that foster a go-getting, community driven attitude. Denver Online best serves motivated students who desire a personalized education plan that enables them to break outside the walls of a traditional classroom and DO MORE.

🚨 Meet the Team: Jessica O'Neal, Social Studies Teacher! 🚨

Someone who approaches teaching with joy, humor, curiosity and being an authentic person. She believes that even in an online format, education is about human connections where all participants (even the teacher) learn and grow together. Outside of Denver Online she is frequently found reading a variety of books (fiction and nonfiction), playing games, or enjoying some time in nature. Also, she is a great person to talk to if you are curious about fat bears, fat marmots, or are in need of a bad joke or random fact. 🐻😄

Anders is someone who’s committed to the idea that learning about, and being engaged with, history and civics makes us better humans. Outside of Denver Online he is always up for hiking the Oregon Coast and yelling at the television when the Badgers are on.🏈

📢 Enrollment Update: Denver Online is Still Enrolling! 🎓

Looking to enroll from another school district?
Please contact [email protected] or call 720-424-8295 to set up your enrollment with Denver Online.

Already in the DPS district and looking to transfer to Denver Online?
Students and families who want to transfer into Denver Online after general enrollment windows close will need to submit an Administrative Transfer Application instead of applying directly through SchoolChoice. This process requires agreement between the student's current school leadership and Denver Online leadership, and considers academic continuity, student history, space availability, and any extenuating circumstances — to help make sure an online learning environment is the right fit.

Mr. Burton, is someone who’s always looking for the hard ‘yes’ over the easy ‘no’ to help students reach their goals. Watching smart TV and dumb movies, building Star Wars Lego sets, and hanging out with my family and friends. 📺

🚨 Meet the Team: Grace Montenegro, Social Studies Teacher; GT Site Team! 🚨

Someone who loves teaching because it always inspires and motivates her to see students learn, laugh, grow, connect, struggle, and become a better version of themselves. Outside of Denver Online, she's always down to head out backpacking with an audiobook, sew historic- or fiction-inspired attire, or sing along with her bouzouki. When she isn’t traveling to real-world locations she first encountered in fiction, you’ll find her participating in medieval reenactments with the SCA, working on her novel, or getting completely sidetracked from working on her novel by playing House Flipper 2 or Stardew Valley. 🎮

It is an honor to have her on the team!

🚨 Meet the Team: Amber Fauerbach Weintraub, Social Studies Teacher; GT Site Team! 🚨

Amber is someone who is passionate about the lessons we can learn from history to craft a more equitable future. "We are all responsible for becoming more ethical than the society we grew up in," describes her approach to education and her broader philosophy toward life. She is passionate about showing up and treating others with humanity and authenticity, and she fiercely believes in and advocates for her students. Outside of Denver Online, she's always up for hiking (especially for a waterfall), reading (and convincing everyone else to read The Hunger Games), baking (with her sourdough starter named Pita Mellark), and running (training for a second marathon!). 🏃‍♀️

🚨 Meet the Team: Heather Morris, Math Teacher and Senior Team Lead! 🚨

Heather is someone who believes math should make sense, feel interesting, and belong to everyone. In her courses and as a teacher coach, she builds a culture where mistakes are treated as essential learning opportunities, not setbacks. She believes we all can do hard things, and that making mistakes is actually where the real learning happens. To her, great work starts with having the courage to try: write something down, ask a question, and jump in! Outside of Denver Online you’ll find her spending time with her family, cooking healthy meals, watching baseball and hockey, or catching a movie. ⚾🏒
