Blue Sky Child Care Blue Sky Childcare is a family-owned child care business in Denver, Colorado. We accept children age twelve months and up.

Spots are available for summer in June 2026. For over 36 years I have been working with young children. My formal training began with Rudolf Steiner's approach to education, which is taught in Rudolf Steiner or Waldorf schools. As time went on and I had my own child and began my work with children in a home care setting, I realized more and more how important it is in this fast-paced, media-infused world that young children, especially between the ages of birth and 5, receive more than anything a simple nurturing environment. This environment means colorful walls and curtains, with lovely paintings on the walls, bells, mobiles, wind chimes and crystals to catch the light from the sunshine coming through the window. There are warmm soft rugs and pillows to nestle down and look at books on. There are puzzles, dolls, stuffed animals, toy trucks and cars, and a play kitchen, to name a few. Our mealtimes consist of delicious, nutritious food and begin with a favorite song:
"For the golden corn, for the apples on the trees, for the golden butter and the honey for our tea, for fruits and nuts and berries that grow beside the way, for birds and beasts and flowers I thank thee every day." Our nap time is cozy and quiet as the children settle down on their beds. I read stories and sing songs as the children are lulled to sleep. Our outdoor time comes most every morning and afternoon and brings to us a host of new and recurrent experiences. We enjoy nature in the four seasons and talk and sing about what we see, hear and smell. We meet people and pets, we see trucks, construction and life. This simple life is essential in these early years so that each child can strengthen their bodies and their imagination, so that they will be ready for the challenges of school and later life. We accept children ages 12 months and older, with rates of $75 per day.

Anyone who's interested, just letting you know we have an open spot for a child two years old or up. Temporary care for a school age child over the summer would be fine too. By the end of August, we'll be able to take a child who's under two.

We are still looking for a house to rent in the area. If anyone knows of someone willing to rent and allow an in-home child care we would greatly appreciate it. Let them know liability will not be an issue if they ask. We will have people sing liability waivers to handle that.
