Support your local community and build a medical assistant pipeline as an externship location partner!

Hear from the team at Fair Haven Community Health Care how students recruited to the program are often patients of the clinic and live in the neighborhoods served.

Program support features:

✅ Access to experienced faculty, regular lectures, discussions, and online curriculum
✅ Preceptor training courses, with guidance for supporting students in-clinic
✅ Scheduled monthly meetings and ongoing email support
✅ Management of all enrollment, grading, certification and student issues

Responsibilities of a externship location partner:

✅ Host MA students for a minimum of 240 hours, over 29-week program
✅ Appoint a Program Coordinator as the key liaison with program
✅ Identify a Site Facilitator who ensures space, supplies and equipment onsite
✅ Designate a qualified preceptor for each MA student placed
