💫Introducing our ISP-ASDA representative, Shruthi Srinivasan💫
Despite the busy lives of being a dental student in a different country, Shruthi continuously feels inspired to be a “better human, classmate, and a dentist” by her classmates. Whether they were specialists or dentists who owned private practice back in their home countries, they’ve sacrificed unfathomable amounts to be at CU! Check out the link below to learn about Shruthi and her incredible classmates!

Congratulations to Jake Holtzmann for being elected ASDA’s 2021-2022 Council on Advocacy Chair!
Over the last few years, Jake has served as a leader for our chapter, district, and at the national level for ASDA. As he concludes his role with our chapter, we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to fight for the rights of the nation’s dental students at large.
Thank you for all you do, Jake! Goodluck!

Monthly Blog Post Alert‼️
One of ASDA's biggest roles is to advocate for our students and dentists in general. This includes seeking reform for current issues that affect the profession.
In this months blog, Ty Weisenburger (DS3) talks about three controversial issues that the profession faces today:
1. Licensure Reform:
Is it ethical to perform a licensure exam on a live patient?
2. Competition Among Dental Insurance Companies:
Should insurance companies be able to collude to determine price for dental care?
3. Student Debt Reform:
Should students pursuing a speciality be responsible for interest on their loans during their residency?

Meet our Quarantine Hobby Spotlight: Bansari Patel, a 2nd year ISP.
Over quarantine, Bansari picked up an old hobby of pencil sketching.
“I started making sketches after I delivered my baby during quarantine, I was less active physically and that cute face of my baby fostered my artistic skills. After I made his sketch I did not stop and kept on doing it more and more. I think it turned out to be a relaxing activity and kept me less anxious during my post-partum period and quarantine time.”
Bansari was able to find more resources and supplies for her sketches so she plans to continue drawing because it acts as a stress reliever for her. Let’s congratulate Bansari on becoming a mom and sketching beautiful pieces of art. Great work, Bansari!

We'd like to take a moment to thank The Phoenix Center at Anschutz for sponsoring a Lunch and Learn to help educate our students and offer a resource where people can seek help and/or information.
Over the last two weeks, we have been posting a daily statistic regarding domestic violence. These posts were intended to help spread awareness and inspire people to join in our efforts to stop domestic violence.
Here is a compilation of all the posts we've made:
