I recently met with a potential business partner. We had a personal relationship and the opportunity was hers - until it wasn’t.
When I told her I was also talking to someone else, she was surprised.
When I explained that it was a recent development and the why behind the second proposal (concerns about her lack of communication and follow through), she got up and left without saying a word.
And that told me everything I needed to know.
She wasn’t happy about the competition, but it was the criticism she couldn’t handle. That told me working with her would be difficult if not impossible.
I also learned that the hard conversations never get easier, but setting boundaries does.
And it was a reminder that when you let people do what they’re doing to so, they will show you who they truly are.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my message around building authentic human connection from the inside out with the @ BHS - Business Honoring Spirituality Networking group yesterday!
Thank you, Allison Damico, for introducing me to the group and for all of your encouragement and support.
And thank you, Melissa Berg, for all of your help in coordinating and technical logistics.
I'll be posting a highlight reel soon!

Denver friends! I’ll be speaking at next Thursday’s Business Honoring Spirituality breakfast gathering on May 21, and I’d love to see you there.
My talk, Wired for Connection: Building Human Connection from the Inside, Out, is really about reconnecting with ourselves first — especially in a world that constantly pulls our attention outward.
I’ll be guiding the audience through identifying a single word of their own — something that can help ground them, reconnect them inwardly, and serve as a guide for everyday choices, communication, and relationships.
I’ll also share 3 simple skills we can all practice to create stronger, more authentic human connection both personally and professionally.
Networking, breakfast, meaningful conversation, and community. ❤️

A client of mine just landed a mentor.
This was not by chance, but because they were willing to think a little differently.
When we mapped their Circle of Champions™️ every name was tied to the company they’re trying to leave.
Safe. Familiar. And not going to get them where they want to go.
So I pushed them to look outside the people in front of them.
They brought up someone they’d met briefly at a networking event—someone who had clearly made an impression, but hadn’t fully registered as an opportunity.
Through our conversation, they saw it differently.
They reached out. Followed up. Built a relationship.
Now that person is their mentor.
We get so used to looking in the same places because they’re familiar. Sometimes it takes a nudge to see what we’ve been missing.

Misalignment doesn’t just affect how you feel.
It shows up in how you present yourself to others.
When you’re out of alignment, your behavior becomes inconsistent.
And inconsistency creates distrust—
with others, and with yourself.
Not because of a lack of effort.
Because something underneath is off.
Pay attention to what feels off.
More often than not, it comes back to your values—and where you may need to realign.
