🎉 Monarch of the Month Program 🎉

At Metropolitan Arts Academy, we believe in recognizing the incredible qualities our students demonstrate every day. Our Monarch of the Month Program is a special monthly celebration where students are honored for embodying our academy’s C.R.E.A.T.E. values: Courageous, Responsible, Empathetic, Achieving, Trusting, and Excellent.

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that these students are selected by their peers—showing that their actions and character leave a lasting impact on those around them.

Thank you families! We have an average of 96% attendance rate for the month of August.
Did you know our students start learning right when they arrive? They start the morning in “All Heads” with two teachers in every classroom for center-based learning. The center groupings are based on individual student needs and teachers use ongoing data to build the centers for their “just right” learning level. This is why it is so important to get here on time each day!
You are your children’s first teacher. Thanks for prioritizing the importance of attendance!

08/29/2024

Tomorrow is our first birthday bash to celebrate summer and August birthdays. Students do not need to be in uniform but are expected to follow dress code expectations. If you are sending snacks for this, they need to be delivered to the main office before 10:00. Snacks need to be store purchased and sealed. No large meals will be allowed.

Dear Monarch Families,

What a fantastic start to our school year! As we conclude our first week on this exciting "Voyage to Learning," I am filled with pride and gratitude for the energy and enthusiasm that our students, staff, and families have brought to this journey.

Over the past week, I had the pleasure of visiting every classroom, and I am thrilled to share that our students are already embracing the adventure of learning with curiosity and confidence. From engaging in creative projects to building strong connections with their peers and teachers, it’s clear that we are off to a strong start. Your children are showing up ready to explore their potential, and it’s truly inspiring to see.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents for your incredible support during this first week. Your partnership is invaluable, and it’s clear that when we work together, our students thrive.

As we continue on this journey, I’d like to remind everyone of the importance of consistent attendance and punctuality. To help your child make the most of their learning experience, I kindly ask that you schedule doctor’s appointments outside of school hours whenever possible. Being on time and present every day not only sets a positive tone for the day but also ensures that your child doesn’t miss out on valuable learning opportunities.

Together, let’s keep our focus on making this a year of growth, discovery, and success. Thank you again for your ongoing partnership and commitment to your child’s education. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together as we continue to navigate our power and unleash our potential.

With gratitude and excitement for the journey ahead,
