Joe Woolpert and Roger Sayre got to present their research at the undergraduate research symposium. They studied different ways to increase the comfort of patients wearing capnography lines. Way to go, you engineers you.

A group of brothers volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver each day from 9-4:30pm. We had a great time helping to build different walls and windows of the building.

Yesterday a video surfaced from Oklahoma University’s SAE chapter displaying brothers chanting an inexcusably racist and ignorant song. The brothers of Colorado Zeta do not stand with those at OU. Those former brothers do not represent our brotherhood nationally or locally, and we stand with the Supreme Council’s decision to dissolve that chapter. It’s clear those members forgot what it meant to be a part of Sigma Alpha Epsilon a long time ago, if they ever knew in the first place.

Every day we strive to embody the ideals set forth by our creed the True Gentleman: that means respecting each other, celebrating each other’s differences, and acknowledging that as a nationwide group of brothers we have a long path of personal development ahead of us. We apologize deeply to the many offended individuals outside and within Sigma Alpha Epsilon, both here at the University of Denver and across the nation, and hope that through evidence of our positive actions you can forgive us.

The current Eminent Supreme Archon, Brad Cohen, has been very vocal on Twitter, and the fraternity’s official statement can be viewed below.

Thank you to everyone that donated and came out to support our benefit concert, the Autumn Classic last Saturday! We hope you had a great time.

Our preliminary numbers are showing that we were able to raise roughly $7,500 that will be donated to the Bridgeport, Connecticut Hospital Burn Center in honor of our fallen brothers David Dubrow and Mike Ness. Thank you for the continued support!
