This winter and spring, our book club programs served 24 students across our 10Four Youth Center and Montview Boys and Girls Club programs 📚
Together, our students, Peer Leads, and volunteers spent the last few months reading, building confidence, sharing ideas, and creating meaningful connections through stories.
We’re especially grateful for our Peer Leads—Andre, Amber, and Leland—and the volunteers (Ryan and Meagan!) who showed up week after week to help make these sessions engaging, supportive, and fun.
Because of this community:
• Every student received books to keep
• Young readers built confidence
• High school mentors gained leadership experience
Thank you for being part of this work with us đź’›

This is a small glimpse into one of our weekly book clubs📚
What you don’t see here:
– the kids who weren’t sure about reading at the start
– the distractions we’re navigating
– the small wins that add up each week
What you do see: kids showing up, settling in, and giving it a shot đź’›
We’re really grateful for the mentors and community who make this space possible.

We went all in—and this community delivered. ♠️📚
A huge thank you to everyone who came out for our Charity Poker Tournament with Castle Pines Poker Club. It was such a fun afternoon of community, cards, and supporting youth literacy—and together, we raised $7,000 to support our programs.
Because of you, we’re able to support peer-led book clubs, fund teacher grants, and build community libraries—helping kids grow their confidence and love of reading.
We’re so grateful to Castle Pines Poker Club for hosting and to everyone who played, donated, and showed up to support this work.

We’re so grateful for volunteers like Meagan 💛📚
April is National Volunteer Month, and we’re celebrating the incredible people who make our programs possible.
Since Fall 2025, Meagan has been showing up each week as a Book Club Mentor—reading with students, mentoring our Peer Leads, and helping create a space where kids feel supported and excited to read.
Meagan shows up with care, consistency, and heart—and it makes all the difference.
Drop a đź’› in the comments to help us thank Meagan!

🍻📚 Thank you to everyone who joined us for Spelling Bee(r) at Lady Justice!
We had such a strong group of spellers—we made it through five rounds and still needed a spell-off to determine our winners. Huge congrats to first place winner Meg Ward and our second and third place finishers.
Big thanks to Lady Justice Brewing for hosting and fundraising for youth literacy.
We’re chatting with Lady J about booking future Spelling Bee(r) dates—stay tuned!

We kicked off our spring book club this week at 10Four Youth Center and started reading The Crossover by Kwame Alexander with our middle school group 📚🏀
At Burning Through Pages, we believe kids should have a say in what they read. When they help choose the book, they show up more engaged, more confident, and more excited to be part of the conversation.
This one was selected through a book choice survey—and it’s already off to a great start.
We also know how important it is for kids to see themselves in the stories they read—in the characters, the experiences, and the moments that reflect their world.
What books would you have picked at that age?
