📚 Books We Love
Sometimes all it takes is one book to turn you into a reader all over again.
In our Books We Love series, our volunteers, supporters, and community partners are sharing the books that have stayed with them—and why.
Next up is Harley, one of our amazing BTP volunteers.
Harley’s favorite book is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros—the book that got her back into reading as an adult.
“This book holds a special place in my heart because it’s the book that got me back into reading as an adult. I probably hadn’t looked at a book in years before I picked it up, and I loved it from cover to cover. I’ve already read it twice and I’m gearing up for a third read-through of the full series.
It opened the door for more adventures. It created my love for series, where characters and storylines get room to grow, and it introduced me to so many amazing people in the reading community.
I love that reading takes me to a whole new place, with new rules and new ways of life. I always enjoy seeing what new worlds authors can dream up, whether it’s through unique magic systems or the world-building that brings those places to life.”
When asked why she supports Burning Through Pages, Harley shared:
“I love seeing the joy of reading reach our youth! Ensuring they have access to books is crucial for growing minds, and BTP makes that access a reality.”
📖 Harley’s favorite quote from Fourth Wing:
“Even temples can be rebuilt, but books cannot be rewritten.”
📚 Her recommendation for young readers: the Shadow and Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, followed by the Six of Crows duology.
