We’re making a change to how MEA connects online.

We’ll be closing down our Facebook presence as we focus on the platforms that best support professional connection and community. As marketing researchers, we’ve found that Facebook is often used more personally—so we’re moving our MEA conversations to LinkedIn.

Here’s where to find us:
Follow our LinkedIn Business Page for MEA news, conference updates, member highlights, and more. We love being tagged, so please include us in your posts!

Join our LinkedIn Group to connect, collaborate, and chat with fellow marketing educators.

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Vaishali Sethi, Associate Professor at University Canada West, as MEA’s new Board Secretary.

Vaishali’s work centers on consumer behaviour, especially sustainable consumption and decision-making, along with marketing strategy and AI in marketing education. She is passionate about advancing marketing education through innovative teaching, experiential learning, and meaningful industry collaboration.

She joined the MEA Board after attending the MEA Conference in April, where she connected with an inspiring community of marketing educators. Now, she’s excited to contribute, learn from fellow members, and support MEA’s mission to advance the discipline.

If she weren’t in academia, Vaishali could see herself as a marketing consultant or leading corporate training and executive education programs focused on AI, sustainability, and digital transformation.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, meditation, reading motivational books, and listening to inspiring podcasts that fuel lifelong learning.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Sethi and welcoming her to the MEA Board!

Our next MEA highlight features Dr. Luke Williams, Competency-Based Education Coordinator and Sr. Lecturer at Central Washington University.

Luke’s favorite marketing topic is Consumer Behavior. He joined MEA because he sees it as a respected organization with great people, engaging and educational events, and valuable opportunities to connect with fellow marketing educators and share research throughout the year.

He’s brand new to the board, though he has already attended three conferences. If he weren’t in academia, Luke could see himself in entrepreneurship or consulting.

Outside of work, he’s a bass guitar player and an active, competitive tennis and pickleball player.

Congratulations Luke!
