Big news!

We are thrilled to announce that the Zephyr Brass Collective will be joining us at Colorado Youth Bands Summer Band Camp this June at CSU Pueblo for a special performance and master class.

If you haven't heard Zephyr yet, check out their promo video.
They are a Denver-based professional brass quintet doing some really cool things with arrangements and new music.

This is going to be a really special experience for our camp.

Summer Band Camp registration is open. This June, Colorado Youth Bands is heading to CSU Pueblo for five days of full ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, workshops, and a final concert for families. Residence hall living, meals included, and a whole lot of music. June 14–18, 2026. Scholarships available.

Some kids are made for band.

They're the ones who practice without being asked. Who light up the moment they walk into rehearsal. Who are a little shy everywhere else in the world, but find their people the moment they pick up their instrument.

We'd like to tell you about RIver.

River isn't one specific student. River is the placeholder for so many kids we've known over 73 years, passionate young musicians who thrive in band but don't have the circumstances that make camp possible. And there are more of them every year.

This summer, we want to send kids like River to camp. A place where shy hellos turn into lifelong friendships, and where a week of music can become the highlight of an entire summer.
But for many families, camp feels out of reach.
