The Logan School for Creative Learning
The mission of The Logan School is to cultivate the curiosities of gifted students. The Logan School serves students in grades k-8 on a 13- acre campus.
Our mission is to cultivate the curiosities of gifted children and our approach is as unique and individual as the children who make up our community.
Operating as usual
Congratulations, Logan Class of 2024! You brought your best selves today and we are so proud of all you have done and excited for what is ahead!
Today we held our first cultural day of connections, inspired by the vibrant discussions amongst students in the Logan Affinity Alliance (LAA) meetings. The student members decided to bring their energy to the whole school and organized the event for us. Here's a sneak peek at what we did today:
Station 1: Create a square that will be used to make a Logan community quilt, inspired by David Avido’s visit to Logan in April. Each 6"x6" fabric square is a canvas for self-expression!
Station 2: Students spread messages of love and inclusivity through chalk art.
Station 3: Join Lyra in the breezeway to witness the beautiful Chestnut tree painting she is working on, symbolizing hope, healing, and belonging for our Jewish community members.
Station 4: Explore diverse literature handpicked by Nina, Leighani, and Priya. With their leadership, we're reshaping our classroom libraries to reflect the rich tapestry of identities within our community.
What a wonderful way to spend the morning as we wrap up the last week of the school year! 🌍✨

We are thrilled to share that this year’s Auction Mission Moment will raise funds to support our work on Belonging and Financial Aid. Over the last week, we visited all 13 classrooms to listen to students share what belonging means to them; we heard our students say:
“Belonging is finding your home.” (Entry Primary student) “You can be you.” (IS student) “We are working together to create safe spaces.” (AS student)
We look forward to continuing our work to create more space for empathy, open dialogue, and growth.
Join us in this effort! Tickets to the Auction are on sale through April 12th.

Our Head of School and Development Director traveled to Austin over the weekend to attend and present at the Annual CASE-NAIS 2024 Conference. The CASE-NAIS Independent Schools Conference is the flagship advancement and development conference for schools globally.
During their session, "Navigating a Partnership to Re-engage Donors: Opportunities for a New Head", Nicole and Heather spoke from the heart about their experiences in leadership, honed in on strategies to create a sense of belonging within school communities, and offered behind-the-scenes tips to help smaller schools leverage leadership change to re-engage with donors. Thank you, Nicole and Heather for sharing your knowledge and experiences with the wider community!
The Logan School will be closed on Tuesday, January 16th due to inclement weather. Stay safe and warm!
"Be a bush if you can’t be a tree. If you can’t be a highway, just be a trail. If you can’t be a sun, be a star. For it isn’t by size that you win or fail. Be the best of whatever you are.”
